About Muhammadiyya Network

Muhammadiyya Network carries forward a community-based tradition of sharing Islamic knowledge and supporting educational and social initiatives in Kalmunai. The journey began in 1999 at Muhammadiyya Jummah Masjid with a physical library built through community donations. Books, cassettes and CDs/DVDs formed the early collection.

The initiative later moved toward digital knowledge sharing through USB drives, and in 2019 was rebranded as Muhammadiyya Network to support a broader digital presence and social media outreach.

Muhammadiyya Network operates as the digital platform of Muhammadiyya Islamic Library, based at Muhammadiyya Jumma Masjid, Kalmunai.

Today, the platform is intended to make Islamic learning resources easier to discover and use, while connecting the community with events, services, programmes, media and volunteer opportunities. The long-term goal is an accessible, organized and growing knowledge hub, beginning in Tamil and expanding to additional languages over time.
